INTRODUCTION.
(Ezekiel 36:26-27, 2 Corinthians 6:16, Ephesians 1:15-18.
NEW – is an adjective that is used to describe a noun that has never existed nor been seen or heard of, but introduced for the first time.
CREATION – means bringing into being or existence, something that has never been (Genesis 1:1).
FUNDAMENTALS – is from the word ‘fundamental’ which refers to foundation, that which is of great importance, that which serves as a starting-point.
NEW CREATION FUNDAMENTALS –Those things which form the foundation of the new creation, those things must be learnt first. These consist of the facts, truths and details of the New Birth.
WHY NEW BIRTH? John 3:7.
- MAN BEFORE THE FALL- Man was created with the life of God in him, he was created in the image and likeness of God. (Genesis 1:26a). He was in God’s class
. – He was made triune as the Godhead or trinity (God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit).
– Man was subject only to the law of life.
– Man was in fellowship with God on a daily basis (Genesis 3:8).
- Man was highly spiritual (Genesis 2:25), and was more conscious of his spiritual environment than his physical environment.
- Man was master of the earth and shared God’s power (Genesis 1:28, Psalm 8:3,4) (Psalm 115:16)
- Man was peaceful, confident and bold (Genesis 3:8-11). He used to boldly welcome God without any trace of fear.
- With the wisdom of God in him – Man was a king and the earth was his domain. He reigned in it by the wisdom of God deposited in him at creation.
– He was neither immortal nor mortal. Death had no dominion over him.
